Abstract:
The subproject accompanying research supports the flagship project ECO2 Management by conducting a broad analysis on socioeconomic backgrounds, primary and secondary impacts: research on usability; design of smart meter technology and energy consulting; evaluation of impacts on consumer behaviour; design of a business case for trading micro emissions certificates; design of strategies for information and motivation. Data sources are qualitative and quantitative surveys among participating households as well as literature and expert reviews. The accompanying research is closely linked to the other sub projects 2 and 3 and ensures that the state of the art is included and expanded in the flagship project. Moreover, social and economic opportunities and threats of ECO2 Management are shown.
