Master's Awards Ceremony for Global Studies

On October 5, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Meerscheinschlössl, following the VU course “Introduction to Global Studies,” the Master’s Awards were presented to our four alumnae:
Marie Blank, Lilli Frei, Selma Rahberger, and Jasmina Salkic. Vice Dean Prof. Markus Tilp presented the awards, and the respective advisors or their representatives delivered the laudatory speeches. The ceremony took place in an intimate yet festive atmosphere.
Prior to that, starting around 4:30 p.m., the four award recipients participated in an alumni talk, which was moderated very professionally by Viktoria Schett, M.A., M.Sc., the chair of Alumni Global Studies. The discussion focused on questions regarding graduation, the choice of master’s thesis, and the reasons for and challenges of studying Global Studies. This part was particularly well-received by the first-year students in attendance.
Afterward, a small reception with drinks and rolls was held in the foyer of the Meerscheinschlössl.
