Researchers at the University of Graz have developed a new method to contribute to more climate protection at all levels of society: the so-called "carbon management".
"For a significant reduction of greenhouse gases, we have to consider all areas, from entire states to companies to private consumption," says climate researcher Gottfried Kirchengast from the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change, who developed the concept "Institutional Carbon Management".
The head of the project addresses primarily public institutions and private companies to support them in the development and implementation of their goals for climate protection and to accompany them scientifically.
The University of Graz itself is setting a good example. With the help of the "ICM Uni Graz" project and corresponding measures the University of Graz will keep on reducing emissions.
