Kick-off-Meeting des Austrian Chapter der Marie Curie Alumni Association

Im Rahmen des Forschungsprogramms „Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions“ unterstützt die Europäische Kommission WissenschafterInnen aus allen Disziplinen und auf jeder Karrierestufe. Die Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) ist eine internationale Non-Profit-Organisation mit dem Ziel, die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit von AbsolventInnen des Programms zu fördern.

Im Mai 2014 wurde das MCAA Austrian Chapter gegründet, das sich am 16. Oktober 2014 an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz zum Kick-off-Meeting traf. 25 von insgesamt rund 50 Marie Curie Fellows in Österreich sind der neuen Vereinigung bereits beigetreten, informiert Dr. Riccardo Biondi vom Wegener Center der Uni Graz, der im August zum Vorsitzenden des MCAA Austrian Chapter gewählt wurde. Die Mitglieder kommen aus Wien, Linz, Innsbruck, Salzburg und Graz. Neben der Kooperation über Fachgrenzen hinweg sehen es die Fellows auch als ihre Aufgabe, junge ForscherInnen über die Möglichkeiten der „Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions“ zu informieren und bei der Antragstellung zu unterstützen.
