The Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change integrates climate, environmental, economic and social research. We contribute to the understanding of the physical and socio-economic aspects of climate change, the impacts of climate change and the transition to a climate-neutral future. Scientific positions
- Student Research Assistant – environmental & climate economics
20 hours a week; position to be filled at earliest availability
You will analyze different net-zero greenhouse gas emission pathways, comprising technological, behavioral and governance mitigation options across various sectors for a comprehensive net-zero transition in Austria.

Summer internships
In summer 2025 (July/August/September) there will again be the opportunity to work as a holiday worker, depending on the available support resources.

- your informative CV with a focus on previous major fields of study as well as skills and abilities that you consider relevant to your field of interest;
- a transcript of your academic achievements. Transcripts (a list of all assessed courses) are usually issued by your university's study department. If you have completed significant coursework at several universities, please enclose more than one transcript.

- if applicable, a list of publications, if you already have a doctorate, or a transcript of your academic achievements and, if applicable, a copy of your thesis.
