Our research interests range from the observation, analysis, modeling and prediction of climate and environmental change to climate impact research and the analysis of the role of humans as co-causers, co-affected and co-creators of this change.
The institute, with around 60 researchers, is headed by climate economist Karl Steininger and transformation researcher Ilona M. Otto.
