Composition and Tasks

The Stakeholders Advisory Board is composed of four to six personalities from the location Graz/Styria, who are renowned for leadership in business and society and who hold an explicit interest in the topic climate and global change. It advises and supports the Wegener Center Management especially in the following areas:

  • Strategic institutional positioning of the Wegener Center at the location Graz/Styria and in Austria as a whole
  • Establishment and maintainance of research cooperations, know-how transfer and public relations at the location Graz/Styria and in Austria as a whole
  • Effective communications to decision-makers in policy, economy, media and society for fostering a strong and solid institutional standing at the location
  • Systematic bulid-up of a sustainable economic and corporate prosperity of the Wegener Center


The appointment and organisational guidance of the Stakeholders Advisory Board is done by the Wegener Center Director.
