Abstract:
VOICE assesses future strategies for voluntary emergency and relief services facing increasing ex-treme weather events due to climate change, expected constraints in public funding and diminishing volunteer workforce. VOICE investigates pro-active and reactive adaptation options from a socio-psychological and economic perspective. VOICE thus provides decision support for stakeholders in risk management and ultimately aims to ease adaptive capacity building in sensitive regions.
