Abstract:
Based on the EU 2020 Targets paths for restructuring the Styrian energy system up to 2020 and 2030 for the sectors buildings, transport, production and energy-production are identified and quantified in this project. The first step is the translation of the Austrian emission and energy reduction targets for Styria and an evaluation of the current situation for the concerned sectors. A reference scenario for energy and emissions is developed as well as target scenarios for 2020 and 2030 (baseline scenario and innovative scenario). The emission reduction potentials of different courses of action (for the named sectors) are analysed in step 2. Measures for the given sectors that has to be taken in order to reach the given targets are assembled to consistent bundles (step 3). The measures will be concretized for implementation in step 4. Part of the project is the yearly monitoring of the achievement of the targets subsequent to the current project (step5).
