Abstract:
INNOVATE targets the existing knowledge gaps on climate policies addressing GHG under a consumption-based accounting framework, delivering rigorous systematic assess-ments that can inform policy decisions that are efficient and effective. INNOVATE delivers clear recommendations to policy makers in Austria to support the further development and implementation of its Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS).
The core area of research in INNOVATE is to understand the international supply chains triggering the major shares of Austrian consumption-based emissions, and using this information to develop complementary instruments and im-prove existing models of evaluating climate policy.
