Abstract:
The research project IMPACT CHAIN examines how climate impacts arising in the different world regions affect the German economy via import and export trade channels. In particular, the following questions are examined:
• How relevant are different types of impact chains for Germany's trade balance?
• How relevant is the indirect impact of global climate change via trade channels for the German economy?
• Which adaptation measures are useful to reduce the exposure of the German economy to international climate change impacts? How could these measures be embedded into the EU financial framework?
